The Advantages and Disadvantages of Qualitative Research

Advantages

. Issues and subjects can be evaluated in detail. 

. Interviews are not limited to certain questions and can be redirected or guided by researchers in real time. 

. The direction and framework of research can be revised quickly as soon as fresh information and findings emerge. 

. The data in qualitative research depends on human research and this is more powerful than quantitative. 

. Complexities and subtleties about the subject of the research or the topic covered is usually missed by many positivist inquires.  

Disadvantages

. The quality of research is heavily dependent on the skills of the research and can be easily influenced by personal problems and issues of the researcher. 

. It is more difficult assess, demonstrate and maintain.

. The quality of the data collected is more time consuming.

. This type of research is not accepted in most communities  

. The presence of researcher in the process of data gathering is unavoidable and can therefore affect     or influence the responses of subjects.

Conclusion

All these types of research are useful for making my review for a short film because i will need qualitative research to produce a good review. For example, one of the advantages is that 'issues and subjects can be evaluated in detail.' This is useful because i will use advantage when creating my review.
