Reference-Based Books
Definition- a book containing useful facts or specially organized information, as an encyclopedia, dictionary, atlas, yearbook, etc.
Purpose- The purpose of the defence book is to share references with people and inform them on certain subjects.

Directories
Definition- a book containing an alphabetical index of the names and addresses of persons in a city, district, organization, etc., or of a particular category of people.
Purpose- The purpose of directories is to be able to locate people in a certain city. This is useful because it means you can find people.

Periodicals
Definition- a magazine or other journal that is issued at regularly recurring intervals.
Purpose- The  Purpose of a periodical is that people who are interested in a certain subject can research it by investing in these magazines of journals.

Newspapers
Definition- a publication issued at regular and usually close intervals, especially daily or weekly, and commonly containing news, comment, features, and advertising.
Purpose- The purpose of a newspaper is to inform people on what is going on in the world daily weekly or monthly.

Film Archives
Definition- A collection of films that have been preserved because of their historical or cultural interest.
Purpose- The purpose of film archives to to preserve historic films for people to watch in the future.

Photo Libraries
Definition- a collection of pictures and photos that is held by a particular company or organisation
Purpose- The purpose of photo libraries is that a company can hold on to particullar photos which they find interesting.

Worldwide Web.
Definition- an information system on the Internet which allows documents to be connected to other documents by hypertext links, enabling the user to search for information by moving from one document to another.
Purpose- The purpose of the internet is to be able to find certain subjects and help people understand certain subjects.

Searching Internet Forums
Definition-An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. They differ from chat rooms in that messages are often longer than one line of text, and are at least temporarily archived.
Purpose- The purpose of internet forums is that people can debate and discuss certain subjects.

CD Rom databases
Definition- A compact disc used as a read-only optical memory device for a computer system.
Purpose- to store memory for the person so they can acsess it on any computer.
