Interview Techniques

Formal- A formal interview is an interview when it is set in a formal occasion and everything is very professional. For example a blockbuster would intake a professional interview because they want to become very successful. The purpose of an formal interview is to show the employee how professional the company can be.

Informal- A informal interview is an interview that it very laid back and informal. For example most short films employ people this way because they want to get to know them in order to create a good relationship. The purpose of informal interviews is to show the employer how down to earth you are.

Observations- Studying behavior
An example of studying behavior is monitoring something daily. For example, if you count how many times people use a certain crossing in the day for a week then you would be studying human behavior. The purpose of studying behavior is to understand why people do certain things.

Questionnaires
An questionnaire is a set of question that you give to certain people for them to understand what certain people like and why. An example is when a short film producer creates an questionnaire for people to fill out to understand why people like your film.

Surveys
The purpose of surveys are for people to answer questions in order to help you understand certain subjects. An example is when a director wants to find out how successful his short film is so he hands them out in the cinema where people are watching it.

Types of questions
This is when there are different types of questions. For example, there are open questions. These are questions that can have many answers, these are used in opinionated questionnaires. Another example is closed questions these are questions that only have a few answers, these are used in statistical questionnaires.

Focus Groups- These are groups that are specified down to a certain size these groups are used for general public questionnaires.

Audience Panels- These are panels which are created to help inform movie directors.

Participation in Internet Forums- This is where people all over the world participate in certain forums to have their say on certain debates.
